Our home health aides, like all members of our staff, are required to have advanced training and subject to extensive background checks. They can provide assistance as it relates to personal care in compliance with Medicare guidelines including the following Services:

Speech Therapy
Physical Therapy

Our physical therapists focus on providing excellence in geriatric rehabilitation with multiple and innovative treatment programs. Our physical therapy department has long been the moving force within our agency and we trust our therapists to keep our clients moving in the right direction.

 

Our physical therapy services include: 

 

•  Stroke Rehab

•  Pain Management

•  Gait training activities with walker, quad cane and standard cane

•  Transfer skills

•  Bed mobility skills

•  Instruction in home safety

•  Instruction in home strengthening exercise program

•  Fall prevention program

•  Recommendations for wheelchair modifications

•  Car transfer training

•  Stair training

 

 

Some common conditions that can be treated by our physical therapists:

 

•  Parkinson's disease

•  Stroke

•  Generalized weakness after in-patient hospitalization

•  Multiple Sclerosis

•  ALS

•  Total knee replacement

•  Total hip replacement

•  Fractures

 

Our speech therapists focus on providing excellence in geriatric rehabilitation to clients who have suffered a neurological trauma including stroke or traumatic brain injury, as well as, medical conditions like head and neck cancer or nutrition/hydration issues.

 

Our speech therapy services include:

 

•  Voice / Speech Restoration

•  Stroke

•  Language impairments

•  Slurred speech

•  Difficulty writing

•  Memory deficits, problem solving, difficulty following directions

•  Aspiration when drinking liquids

•  Difficulty swallowing

Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapists focus on providing excellence in rehabilitation as it relates to our client’s inability to perform valued activities of daily living. We call on our occupational therapists when our client’s have experienced an interruption due to illness, injury, weakness, memory loss, or low vision.

 

Our occupational therapy services include:

 

•  Fine Motor Skills Retraining

•  Help patients with activities of daily living (ADL)

•  Exercises to enhance upper body strengthening

•  Posture education

•  Energy conservation and breathing technique

•  Home equipment recommendations

•  Low vision adaptation

•  Performing and interpreting manual muscle and range of motion test
